Remember last week when I was all excited to have my new page set up and I said I’d be back to my usual posting schedule come Monday? Yah. I got pneumonia.
Let’s not dwell on this… I’m going to whine just once and then move on… but honestly, I AM SO SICK. It’s the worst. Being at stay at home mom when you’re sick is THE BLOODY WORST.
Okay, I’m done. Honest. I mean, I’m not done being SICK… this is day six and I’m seriously fed up, but I’m done whining. I promise. And if I didn’t post something this week I was going to lose my mind, but I honestly didn’t have anything to share other than the aforementioned whining.
My solution to this is to spread a little bit of love today! Instead of going on about my normal stuff, I’m going to direct you to a few places that I LOVE, in hopes that they can help you kill a bit of time at work… lol.
So, first I am going to share a lovely local shop with you called Mango Reclaimed. Melanie is a friend of my husband’s from back in high school, and one year ago she took the plunge and opened her own business where she restyles and refinishes furniture. I’m pretty obsessed with her work, and have been known to spend an hour or two perusing her blog for the photos alone. Using Van Gogh, Miss Mustard Seed and now Fusion Mineral paints, she brings furniture back to life – it’s amazing.
She has a TON of eye candy on her webpage, including a page dedicated to both her finished pieces and her in-stock inventory that is still untouched. And if you live in the GTA (that’s “greater Toronto area” for those who don’t know) you should definitely check out her Whitby location!
Second on the list is one of my favourite blogs. Operation Home is the first page I check each day, and I love Christina’s posts! She’s funny, well spoken and creative. And now is the perfect time to jump on board with her blog because she and her husband just bought a brand new house! Major blog content = happiness!
Christina has all kinds of fun ideas from crafts to home decor. She loves to DIY and has come up with some seriously awesome ideas. She’s got style and best of all she posts a lot! LOL… we all know how much we love a frequent blogger.
(No pressure, Christina! Muah ha ha!)
So there ya go… some Friday filler for ya. I will be
resting in bed taking care of my three kids since they have the day off school – ahhhh, timing. For my Canadian friends, I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend full of great times with family and friends! Hopefully I will be back to my regular self next week. Until then, maybe these lovely ladies will keep you inspired!
