Merry Monday!

I hope everyone had a lovely mama’s day yesterday!
(Wherever it WAS mother’s day, anyway… I think the UK is on a different schedule?)

I had a wonderful, busy weekend full of family time and lots of outside activities! On Saturday I got to spend some nice time alone as I wandered through our local “Mom to Mom” sale. It’s a semi-annual event that happens at the huge fairgrounds just north of where I live, and I genuinely look forward to it SO much! Even though my kids are now 10, 4 & 2, I still find the odd gem, and there’s often a lot of great clothing for kids that’s in new condition – sometimes with the tags still on!

I often think that one of these days I will rent a booth of my own and sell of a bunch of MY kiddos’ stuff, but for now I’m enjoying shopping. This sale is crazy big and I can’t tell you how much I look forward to just moseying up and down the aisles with my coffee…

It’s not something to be missed… and I always make sure to get there as early as possible – check out this line!

I didn’t get too much this year, but I found some great summer clothes for Cal – GAP and Gymboree. I figure I spent $6 for over $60 worth of stuff. SCORE! I also found this PRECIOUS little table for Ella…

I’m going to paint it as soon as I can to make it more gender neutral and also so that it blends with the room a little more. I’m fighting the urge to go with white… any suggestions? I’m thinking a bright aqua (like my IKEA cart) or maybe a yellow? I don’t know yet. But that sweet table was $7 and I think it’s awesome!

On Sunday we had my mom and step dad over for brunch to celebrate Mother’s Day. It was totally chaotic but lovely, and it was great to spend the morning with my mom.

Then I spent the rest of the day enjoying these three monkeys and the beautiful weather we’re having!!!

I’m so grateful to be their mom. I really am. Every late night, every temper tantrum, every runny nose and poopy bum… I’d do it all again. I love them so much. This warm weather is SO good for my spirits. I feel so energized and excited to get the house and yard ready for summer. I hope that every mom out there had just as nice a weekend… I’m off to take advantage of the sun and get my backyard ready for SUMMER!

Wonderful! I really wanted to go to the Mom 2 Mom sale but my son decided to have a “Star Party” on the same day. It was really like a star-themed play date. I’m glad you had a lovely day and got some great deals. That table for Ella is awesome!
    Happy Mother’s Day!
