I just want you to know that I am one of you.
To the moms that I see in the grocery store with screaming kids and frizzy hair… I am one of you.
To the moms who drive with one hand while they reach into the backseat to stop their kids from killing each other. The moms who have to run the same load of laundry two days in a row because they forgot to switch it over to the dryer.
The moms who go to start dinner at 5pm only to realize they never defrosted the chicken. The moms who forget to send the pizza money to school, who pay the soccer dues a week late, who don’t manage to shower every single day…
I am one of you.
I don’t know how it happened, I never thought I would be this mom, but I am. Maybe it’s because I have three kids and two of them are under four. Maybe it’s the PPD, or the medication that I take for it. Regardless, I’m that mom – and most days I hate it.
I know I’m not alone. I know there are more of you out there, and I want you to know that YOU’RE not alone either.
Today I am frazzled and busy and YES I did manage to shower but there isn’t time to write. I hate not getting to write, it’s the only outlet I have…
But right now I’m in my bed, and my two year old baby girl is curled up fast asleep next to me. It’s raining and cold, and there is absolutely nowhere else I would rather be – not even at my computer writing.
So, from my cell phone WordPress app, I bid you adieu and say see you tomorrow… right now I need to snuggle.
